OUR GUITAR WORKSHOP
Craftsmanship, Tradition, and Innovation Since 1966
At Amalio Burguet, every guitar that leaves our workshop is much more than an instrument: it’s the result of over five decades of passion, dedication, and a constant pursuit of excellence. We continue to craft 100% handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars with the same care, attention, and dedication as the very first day.
Located in Catarroja (Valencia), our family workshop is a space where Spanish tradition meets continuous innovation. Amalio Burguet, a luthier since 1966 and owner of his own workshop since 1984, along with his two children, Vanessa Burguet and Damián Burguet, creates unique pieces designed to satisfy the most demanding guitarists: from professional concert performers to students seeking uncompromising quality.
Looking for a truly handcrafted flamenco or classical guitar?
You’ve come to the right place.
We personally select premium hardwoods—German spruce or Canadian cedar, solid cypress, Indian rosewood, Madagascar rosewood, ebony—which have been dried for at least 20 years, and we work them entirely by hand: cutting, assembly, varnishing, purfling, internal reinforcements… The entire process is carried out in our workshop without haste or industrial shortcuts, but by hand. The result is guitars with exceptional sound balance, powerful projection, generous sustain, and a unique character that only the hand of the guitar maker can impart.
Our guitars stand out for:
A rich, velvety sound with a wealth of nuances in our classical guitars, along with meticulous attention to detail and finish, resulting in instruments that not only sound fantastic but also have a refined and delicate appearance. Our flamenco guitars offer a quick response and comfortable feel (low action, manageable weight, narrower sides, and a low-profile neck in both styles), making them the most sought-after instrument for guitarists. Excellent projection and definition on every string, ideal for stage and recording. Durability and stability thanks to extended natural drying and techniques proven over decades. Iconic models such as the 2M, Vanessa, 1A, Lattice, AB Especial, La Burguet Flamenco, and ABF Mixta, as well as custom creations and limited editions. We are a benchmark for guitarists, conservatories, higher education institutions, and professionals worldwide because we combine the best of the Valencian school with a modern vision: concert quality at an honest and accessible price for those who value craftsmanship. Authentic.
